• Helping verbs (can, could, may, might, must, should, will, would)
• Order of adjectives
• Prepositions and prepositional phrases
• Complete sentences, fragments and run-ons
• Commas and quotation marks
• Tricky word twins (their / there / they're, to / too / two, your / you're, its / it's and more)
• Capital letters
ON EVERY SHEET
• About 10 minutes of work, with a short Coach's Tip that states the rule
• Three levels: Warm-Up (4 quick items), Workout (4 items) and Challenge (2 harder items)
• Every 5th sheet is the weekly challenge, Fix the Broken Sentence: each sentence has a set number of mistakes, the hint says how many, and older skills come back for review
• Clean layout on a white page with name and date lines; prints well in color or black and white
• Original, kid-friendly sentences about pets, weather, food, school and everyday life
PERFECT FOR
• Parents of 4th graders who want short daily practice at home
• Homeschool families who need a full grammar strand
• Teachers looking for morning work, centers, homework or sub plans
• Summer review before or after 4th grade, or catch-up for 5th graders
HOW TO USE
• Print the Strength Chart first and hang it where your child can see it
• Do one sheet a day, Monday to Friday, in order
• Check answers with the key, then let your child color one plate on the chart
• Print the certificate when all 20 bars are colored
HOW TO PRINT
• Use the US Letter file in the US and Canada, and the A4 file everywhere else
• Print at "Actual size" or "100%", not "Fit to page"
• Regular 20 lb / 75 gsm paper works well; use card stock for the chart and certificate if you like
