PERFECT FOR
• Kindergarten and 1st grade (also great for 2nd grade review and reading intervention)
• Morning work, literacy centers, small groups and homework
• A weekly poem or a poetry notebook
• Homeschool phonics lessons and summer practice
• Parents who want a fun, low-prep way to practice reading
HOW TO USE
• Read the poem aloud, then read it together, pointing to each word
• Your child picks a crayon, colors the circle and colors every word with the focus sound
• Write 6 of the colored words on the lines, saying the sounds while writing
• Re-read the poem on other days and color a star each time
HOW TO PRINT
• Use US Letter files for 8.5 x 11 in paper and A4 files for A4 paper
• Choose "Actual size" or "100%" in your print settings
• Regular printer paper works well; cardstock is nice for the cover and certificate
• The ink-saver files use very little ink, and kids can color the pictures too
HOW THIS WAS MADE
• The poems were drafted with help from an AI writing tool, then checked and edited for this shop. The pictures are original flat vector drawings made for this shop, not images from an AI image generator.
