HOW TO USE
• About 10 minutes a day, 4 or 5 days a week
• Day 1: the grown-up reads the slash version first while the child follows, then you read it together
• Day 2: the slash version again, then echo reading on the scoop version
• Day 3: choral reading on the scoop version, then the child reads the scoops alone
• Day 4-5: the child reads the plain version alone, times a reading and answers the questions
• Move on when the plain version sounds smooth and the questions make sense
HOW TO PRINT
• Print at "Actual size" or 100% (not "fit to page"), portrait
• Regular printer paper (20-24 lb / 75-90 gsm) works well
• Color or black-and-white both work
• Single-sided is best so your child can write on every page
• Tip: put a page in a sheet protector and use a dry-erase marker to time it again and again
